The Leaside Music Studio has been operating in the heart of Leaside community since 1997. Dedicated to providing high quality early childhood music education programs for children, the LMS emphasizes the joy derived from making music with others. A carefully developed curriculum, small groups, a spacious, well equipped music room and the nurturing, child-oriented environment created by the instructor have all contributed to the success of the various programs. The ultimate goal of the Leaside Music Studio is to develop the music within every child and to nurture in him/her a lifelong relationship with music.

About the Instructor - Maryke Sluis holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Early Childhood Education from Ryerson University. Maryke received her training as an Early Childhood Music Educator at the Royal Conservatory of Music where she also
completed her certificate in Kodály
Pedagogy. Her complementary
expertise in both music and
child development
education enables her
to create developmentally
appropriate music
programs for
children of all ages.
